Speaking on India's national identity, Prof Tiwari said that shared cultural symbols such as Ram, Krishna, the Ganga and the Himalayas find expression across Indian literatures, reflecting a common emotional and cultural ethos. He emphasised that sustained literary interaction among Sanskrit, Hindi and Urdu has fostered cultural harmony and strengthened India's multilingual and pluralistic tradition.
