ALIGARH, Dec. 29 -- ALIGARH: Prof. Latif Zafar Jilani of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University, delivered an invited lecture at the 70th Annual National Conference of the Indian Orthopaedic Association (IOACON 2025), held in Guwahati.
Speaking during a major trauma session, Prof. Jilani presented on "Valgus Osteotomy in Nonunion of Femoral Neck Fractures," where he discussed indications, surgical technique and clinical outcomes of the procedure. He highlighted the role of valgus osteotomy in reorienting biomechanical forces to promote healing while preserving native hip function, particularly in younger patients with femoral neck non-unions.
