ALIGARH, Sept. 14 -- teaching staff, and undergraduate and postgraduate students participated enthusiastically in the initiative, contributing to the cause of a greener planet.

Under the guidance of Prof. R. U. Khan, Dean, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, about 75 saplings of ornamental, horticultural, and tree species, including palm, ashoka, jatropha and aonla, were planted. Prof. Khan underlined the importance of protecting the environment and motivated participants to take up plantation as a meaningful way to combat climate change.
