AMU community mourns Prof Mohammad Arif Siddiqui's demise
Aligarh, May 3 -- Renowned octogenarian physician of Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University, Professor Mohammad Arif Siddiqui passed away at a hospital in Delhi.
He superannuated in 1997 after serving the Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC), AMU in many capacities such as the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, JNMC Principal and Chief Medical Superintendent and Chairman, Department of Medicine.
"Prof Arif Siddiqui provided mission-driven leadership and spearheaded the establishment of many sub-specialties of Medicine with his colleagues at JNMC. These sub-specialties have now evolved into full-fledged departments," said AMU Vice Chancellor, Professor Tariq Mansoor.
