Guwahati/IBNS, Sept. 23 -- Singing sensation Zubeen Garg's fans turned up in large numbers in Guwahati to bid farewell to their favourite singer, who died of drowning in Singapore last week, media reports said.

The fans walked with the vehicle carrying the mortal remains of Zubeen Garg in respect to their favourite singing icon, who sang several hit songs across languages.

Fans grieved on streets as the flower-decked ambulance moved on.

People grieved and turned emotional as the mortal remains were carried from Guwahati airport to the singer's home in Kamarkuchi village of Sonapur.

His funeral will be held with full state honours.
