India, Dec. 8 -- The Telangana government has decided to rename a crucial road in Hyderabad that houses the US Consulate after President Donald Trump.

The crucial road in the city will now be called Donald Trump Avenue.

The proposal is seen as an initiative taken by the Telangana government to position the state as a symbol of innovation-driven India.

According to reports, the government has also approved naming the upcoming greenfield radial road connecting the Nehru Outer Ring Road (ORR) at Raviryal to the proposed Regional Ring Road (RRR) after Padma Bhushan Ratan Tata.
