India, Jan. 13 -- Tech majors Apple and Google have entered into a multi-year collaboration under which the next generation of Apple Foundation Models will be built on Google's Gemini artificial intelligence models and cloud technology.
"These models will help power future Apple Intelligence features, including a more personalized Siri coming later this year," Google said in a blog post announcing the partnership.
Despite the partnership, Apple said Apple Intelligence will continue to run on Apple devices and through its Private Cloud Compute infrastructure, while maintaining the company's industry-leading privacy standards.
