India, Jan. 24 -- A British man has pleaded guilty to drugging and repeatedly raping his former wife over a period of 13 years, UK media reported on Friday.

The accused, Philip Young, 49, formerly of Swindon and now residing in Enfield, appeared at Winchester Crown Court on Friday, where he admitted guilt to 48 of the 56 charges against him.

The charges include counts of rape, voyeurism, and administering a substance with intent to stupefy or overpower. Young will stand trial on the remaining charges on October 5, 2026, at the same court.

According to reports, the offences took place between 2010 and 2023. Young was arrested in 2024 and divorced later that year.
