India, Nov. 15 -- An Indian-origin Sikh woman, who went missing in Pakistan after visiting the neighbouring nation as part of a pilgrimage journey, has reportedly converted to Islam and married a local person at a mosque in Sheikhupura.
Sarabjit Kaur reportedly went missing during his visits to gurdwaras in Nankana Sahib.
According to reports, the local mosque where she got married has issued a nikah certificate citing her consent.
Kaur, 52, a resident of Kapurthala, had crossed the Wagah-Attari border on November 4 along with nearly 1,992 Sikh pilgrims travelling under the bilateral shrine-visitation agreement, The Tribune reported.
The group returned to India on November 13 after a 10-day visit.
Kaur did not accompany the team.
