India, April 12 -- At least two people have died amid the ongoing protest against the Waqf Amendment Act in West Bengal's Muslim-dominated Murshidabad district, media reports said on Saturday.

According to reports, the deceased people were identified as a father and his son.

They were reportedly hacked to death by a mob.

Protests have swept across several districts including the Muslim-dominated Malda, Murshdiabad.

118 people have so far been arrested, police said.
