Mumbai/IBNS, Feb. 28 -- Tanaji Shinde, the father of Indian student Neelam Shinde who is in coma after suffering an accident in California, said he will leave for the United States on Saturday, media reports said.
Tanaji Shinde was granted an urgent visa after the External Affairs Ministry took up the matter with the US for granting of an urgent visa.
Shinde thanked the central government, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Nationalist Congress Party (SP) MP Supriya Sule for helping him out.
Nilam Shinde, 35, suffered an accident in California on February 14.
She suffered injuries on her chest and head after a four-wheeler hit her.
Shinde's family said she suffered fractures in hands and legs.
