Bengaluru/IBNS, Jan. 20 -- Karnataka Director General of Police (Civil Rights Enforcement) K. Ramachandra Rao has been suspended after a viral video purportedly showed him in a compromising manner with several women inside his office during duty hours, media reports said.

During the period of suspension, Rao will not be allowed to leave headquarters without prior written permission from the state government.

In its order, cited by NDTV, the government said it was prima facie satisfied that disciplinary action was necessary.
