India, Jan. 19 -- A 42-year-old man from Kozhikode, Kerala, has died by suicide days after an influencer accused him of sexual harassment in a viral social media video.

The deceased, identified as Deepak U, was found hanging inside his home on Sunday morning, police confirmed.

According to officials, Deepak's parents tried to wake him around 7 am but received no response.

With the help of neighbours, they broke open the door and found him dead.

Relatives said Deepak worked at a textile firm and had travelled to Kannur on Friday for work.

On the same day, a woman travelling on the bus recorded a video alleging that he misbehaved with her during the journey.
