India, Jan. 7 -- The much-anticipated release of actor Vijay's Jana Nayagan has been officially postponed in India, just two days before its scheduled theatrical debut on January 9.

The announcement was made by the film's production house, KVN Productions, citing "unavoidable circumstances beyond our control."

Sharing the update on X, KVN Productions said the decision was taken with "a heavy heart," acknowledging the anticipation surrounding the film.

The producers added that a new release date would be announced as soon as possible and appealed to audiences for their patience and continued support.
