India, Feb. 1 -- At least six people, including a child, are feared dead after a small private plane crashed in the US city of Philadelphia on Friday.

Several people were reportedly injured after the plane crashed into several buildings in the city, setting homes and vehicles on fire.

The plane was on its way to Springfield-Branson National Airport in Missouri when the mishap occurred.

The plane reached 1,650 feet shortly after takeoff before plunging, according to data from ADS-B Exchange, the American news channel reported.

The final data reportedly showed the flight's final speed of descent was 11,000 feet per minute.

"At this time, we cannot confirm any survivors," the company was quoted as saying by CNN.
