New Delhi, March 16 -- US Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Tulsi Gabbard arrived in India on Sunday as part of her multi-nation tour of the Indo-Pacific region, media reports said.

Gabbard is set to participate in a high-level conference led by National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, aimed at bolstering intelligence-sharing frameworks to combat terrorism and transnational crimes, reported The Times of India.

Her visit follows Prime Minister Narendra Modi's trip to the United States in February, where he met Gabbard and described her as a staunch supporter of India-US relations.

This trip marked Modi's first visit to the US since Donald Trump assumed office for a second term.
