Mumbai/IBNS, Oct. 22 -- A US-bound Air India flight returned to Mumbai due to a suspected technical issue on Wednesday, a report by NDTV said.

The flight AI191 took off for Newark on Wednesday morning. Later, it took a return and safely landed in Mumbai.

Hotel rooms and alternative flight tickets have been booked for the affected passengers in Mumbai.

The airline incidents grab headlines nowadays in the backdrop of the deadly Air India crash that killed all except one onboard passengers in Gujarat earlier this year.
