India, Sept. 15 -- The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) have arrested two men in Utah after an incendiary device was placed under a news media vehicle in Salt Lake City region of the US, media reports said.

The incident occurred just days after conservative political activist Charlie Kirk was shot dead during an event at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah, recently.

The suspects have been identified as Adeeb Nasir, 58, and Adil Justice Ahmed Nasir, 31.

The device was found on Friday, Sept. 12 and determined to be real, FOX 13 reported.

Officials said the device had been lit but "failed to function."

The FBI's Salt Lake City Field Office have assumed jurisdiction for the case.
