India, April 26 -- A team of United States House of Representatives members, who were recently visiting Taiwan, assured to promote closer bilateral ties across different domains amid increasing pressure from China.

We have come to understand more and more the importance of a strong relationship between the U.S. and Taiwan, Lisa McClain, a member of the House Armed Services Committee, told President Tsai Ing-wen during a meeting in Taipei as quoted by Focus Taiwan.

On a daily basis, Taiwan faces threats from the Chinese Communist Party, whether its military actions over your skies, aggressive maneuvers in your waters, or economic pressures, she said.
