India, March 12 -- Russia has said it needs to be briefed by the USA about the outcomes of the US-Ukraine talks in Saudi Arabia before commenting on the proposed truce plan and whether it was accepted by Moscow.

Addressing reporters at a daily press briefing, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov did not rule out the possibility of a phone call between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, as reported by BBC.

Asked about the 30-day ceasefire proposal, Peskov was quoted as saying by the British media, "let's not get ahead of ourselves".

Meanwhile, Ukraine has agreed to accept the US-proposed immediate 30-day ceasefire in Russia's ongoing invasion of the country.
