Bengaluru/IBNS, March 8 -- Two women including an Israeli tourist were gang-raped by three men in the Koppal town of Karnataka on Thursday night, media reports said.

The men pushed the three co-travellers into the canal and gang-raped the two women.

While Daniel (from the United States), Pankaj (traveller from Maharashtra) managed to swim out to survive, Bibash (from Odisha) drowned.

Bibash's lifeless body was found on Saturday morning.

The complaint said the three accused fled the spot after committing the crime.

Police said the accused have been identified and two special teams have been mobilised to nab the three men.

The two victims are recovering at a government hospital.
