Bengaluru/IBNS, Aug. 23 -- In a massive twist in the Dharmasthala case, the woman, who had earlier claimed her daughter had disappeared, has backtracked on her assertion, media reports said.

Speaking to a YouTube channel, Sujatha said she had faked the claim as per advice by some people due to a dispute with temple authorities over property.

Sujatha said she faked the claim over a plot of land, owned by her grandfather, which was allegedly taken by the Dharmasthala temple authorities without her signature.

She claimed two activists- namely Girish Mattannavar and T Jayanti- asked her to create a fake story and level the allegation.
