India, Jan. 5 -- The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has expanded its operations nationwide, with Pakistan witnessing a sharp surge in militant violence in recent years, media reports said.

According to reports, the spike in attacks has been most pronounced in tribal regions and border areas.

Security analysts cited in the reports said the TTP has emerged as one of Pakistan's most serious internal security threats, particularly in the former tribal districts along the Afghanistan border. The security situation has been further complicated by growing unrest in Balochistan, the report added.
