India, March 2 -- Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Chairman BR Naidu has written to Union Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu, requesting that Andhra Pradesh's revered Tirumala temple be declared a no-fly zone, media reports said.

In his letter, Naidu emphasised that the sanctity of the Tirumala shrine, also known as the Venkateshwara Temple, must be preserved in line with Agama Shastra principles, which govern temple construction and worship rituals in Hinduism, reported India Today.

He also highlighted concerns over low-flying planes, helicopters, and other aerial activities disrupting the sacred atmosphere around the Srivari temple.
