Washington DC/IBNS, May 5 -- Amid his trade war with China, US President Donald Trump has announced a 100 percent tariff on all non-American films in a bid to revive Hollywood, which he claims is "dying a very fast death".

Immediately after Trump's announcement, US Secretary of Commerce, Howard Lutnick, shared the President's Truth Social post on X and wrote, "We're on it."

Meanwhile, the US and China are engaged in a trade war that has escalated significantly in the past weeks.
