India, Nov. 4 -- US President Donald Trump on Monday attacked Zohran Mamdani, the Democratic candidate vying to become New York City's first Muslim mayor, calling him a "Jew hater" and urging Jewish voters not to support him.

"Any Jewish person that votes for Zohran Mamdani, a proven and self-professed JEW HATER, is a stupid person!!!" Trump wrote on his social media platform, Truth Social.

Mamdani, 34, a progressive Democrat known for his outspoken left-wing positions, is running a campaign centered on affordability, housing reform, and expanding public services.

Polls suggest he is favored to win Tuesday's election, which would make him the city's first Muslim mayor.

Mamdani has not immediately responded to Trump's statement.
