Agartala, May 24 -- Tripura government is planning to resume classes in the schools from second week of June if Covid situation does not aggravate further.

Schools are being readied as full sanitization of the class rooms is being done and provision of running water and hand wash for the students are also being looked into.About 2,553 schools do not have running water facilities, but have source for water and the department would arrange two water storage tanks of 250 litres capacity and Rs 6000 additional fund would be spent for hand wash, cleaning and other necessary arrangement to fight Covid-19.The education department would spend Rs 1.53 Cr from reserve fund.
