India, June 20 -- Thirty-five years after he got his first nomination, Hollywood actor Tom Cruise will now receive his first Oscar.

Cruise, one of the biggest superstars in Hollywood who is known for executing death-defying stunts onscreen, will receive his honourary trophy, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) said.

Apart from Tom Cruise, the Board of Governors recently voted to present Academy Honorary Awards to Debbie Allen, Wynn Thomas, and the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award to Dolly Parton.

62-year-old Cruise, whose latest movie Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning hit the silverscreen recently, received his first Oscar nomination for an Academy Award in 1990 for his portrayal of Ron Kovic, a Vietnam War ...
