India, Nov. 21 -- At least three people died after an earthquake caused a railing to collapse from a five-storey building in Bangladesh capital Dhaka, on Friday.
Rafiqul Islam, chief of Bangshal Police Station, told bdnews24: "A railing from a five-storey building collapsed and fell amid the earthquake."
An earthquake measuring 5.7 on the Richter Scale hit Bangladesh's Narsingdi at a depth of 10km around 10.38 am on Friday, with strong tremors felt in the Indian city of Kolkata.
According to reports, two people died on the spot after they were hit by the railing in Dhaka.
The third person was shifted to Sir Salimullah Medical College and Mitford Hospital where he later died.
