India, Sept. 23 -- A Texas Republican is facing criticisms from the Hindu community for his remarks on a 90-foot statue of Lord Hanuman--known as the 'Statue of Union', built in a US town of Sugar Land.
Texas Republican Alexander Duncan described Lord Hanuman as 'False Hindu God'
Calling the US a 'Christian Nation', Texas Republican Alexander Duncan wrote on X: "Why are we allowing a false statue of a false Hindu God to be here in Texas? We are a CHRISTIAN nation!"
The Hindu American Foundation (HAF) described his remark as 'anti-Hindu'.
