New Delhi, Aug. 1 -- N Chandrasekaran will continue as chairman of Tata Sons for another five years, after Tata Trusts unanimously approved an extension to his term, ET Now reported.

The decision, taken collectively by trustees of the Sir Ratan Tata Trust and Sir Dorabji Tata Trust, comes amid key strategic discussions, including the group's plans to remain unlisted and explore options to exit from the Shapoorji Pallonji Group's stake.

Chandrasekaran had previously received a five-year extension in 2022.
