India, Nov. 10 -- Tamil actor Abhinay died in Chennai on Monday after undergoing treatment for a liver ailment for the past several months.

He was 44.

He reportedly died at his rented residence in Chennai.

The condition of his deteriorating health came to be known recently when he urged people to financially assist him to carry out his treatment.

The Tamil actors' association Nadigar Sangam is reportedly making arrangements for the funeral as the actor does not have any relatives, the newspaper reported.

He was living in his rented home for several years after his mother passed away in 2019.
