Mumbai/IBNS, Dec. 25 -- IndiGo has commenced operations from the newly inaugurated Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA).

The first flight arrived at NMIA from Bengaluru on Thursday morning, while the first departure was to Hyderabad shortly thereafter.

The commencement of flights from NMIA is part of IndiGo's efforts to leverage the airport as a strategic aviation gateway, complementing Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport and offering seamless travel experience to customers in and around the city.
