Speaking to BBC News, Sweeney emphasized the importance of handling such a sensitive topic with care and expressed her eagerness to take on stories that could "save people's lives."
In Christy, a sports biopic, Sweeney portrays real-life professional boxer Christy Martin, chronicling her rise to prominence in the 1990s and the personal challenges she faced, including surviving abuse and overcoming adversity.
