India, Dec. 14 -- Australian authorities have identified one of the gunmen involved in the deadly attack at Sydney's Bondi Beach as Pakistani-origin Naveed Akram, according to media reports.

A senior law enforcement official told ABC News that police raided Akram's residence in the suburb of Bonnyrigg on Sunday evening as part of the ongoing investigation.

Some sections of the Australian media have reported a higher death toll of 12, though authorities are yet to confirm those figures. The attack has drawn widespread international condemnation.
