Birmingham/IBNS, July 5 -- Mohammed Siraj's six wickets helped India maintain their dominance against England despite a strong revival of the hosts on day three of second Test at Edgbaston in Birmingham on Friday.
Akash Deep (4/88) provided the much-awaited breakthrough hitting the stumps of Brook, who slammed 17 fours and one six in his superb knock.
Though Smith, who hit 21 fours and four sixes, remained unbeaten, Mohammed Siraj (6/70) wiped out the tail-enders, bowling out England for 407.
Indian openers- Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul- started dealing mostly in boundaries in the second innings providing a quick start to the visitors, who were ahead of England by 244 runs at stumps on day three.
