India, Jan. 14 -- A 16-year-old girl was rescued in Hounslow, West London, after members of the Sikh community staged a large protest outside a residential property where she was allegedly being held, following claims of sexual exploitation and grooming.
Around 200 people gathered on the street on Wednesday, chanting Sikh religious slogans, including "Jo Bole So Nihaal, Sat Sri Akal," demanding police action.
After several hours, officers intervened, took one suspect into custody, and ensured the girl was safely released.
Videos of the protest have since gone viral on social media, showing police escorting a man believed to be in his late 30s into a police van as crowds looked on.
