Mumbai/IBNS, July 9 -- The trailer of Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri starrer upcoming Bollywood film Dhadak 2 will be released on Friday.

The lead actors shared a poster on social media to provide an update.

The upcoming romantic drama film is written and directed by Shazia Iqbal and produced by Dharma Productions and Zee Studios.

A spiritual sequel to the 2018 film Dhadak, Iqbal's film is the remake of the Tamil film Pariyerum Perumal.

Dhadak starred Ishaan Khatter and debutant Janhvi Kapoor in the lead.

Dhadak 2 is slated to release in theatres on August 1.
