India, Dec. 24 -- The Himachal Pradesh government has suspended a 31-year-old doctor after he was allegedly caught on camera assaulting a patient inside the Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC), Shimla. The incident came to light after a video of the altercation went viral on social media.
Hospital authorities have ordered a formal inquiry into the matter.
"The services of the accused doctor, Raghav Narula, have been suspended," IGMC Medical Superintendent Rahul Rao told Hindustan Times.
