India, Nov. 4 -- Amid growing concern over rising racism and xenophobia against immigrants in Canada, a disturbing video has surfaced online showing a white man assaulting an Indian man inside a McDonald's outlet in Toronto, media reports said.

The mobile phone footage, now going viral across social media platforms, shows the alleged assailant, a visibly intoxicated man wearing a Toronto Blue Jays jacket, launching an unprovoked attack near the restaurant's Mobile Order Pick-Up counter.

The video begins with the aggressor shoving the Indian man, sending his phone flying.

Despite being physically attacked, the Indian man remains calm and does not retaliate.
