India, Dec. 26 -- Amid growing concerns over violence against religious minorities in Bangladesh, ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina launched a sharp attack on the interim Muhammad Yunus-led regime in a Christmas address, accusing the current ruling authorities of seizing power illegally and subjecting minorities to "unspeakable torture".

In her Christmas message, Hasina began by extending greetings to citizens and recalling Bangladesh's long-standing tradition of communal harmony. She said the country had once stood as a "shining example" of peaceful coexistence among religious communities.
