Sensex improves by 87 points
Mumbai, Jan. 31 -- The BSE Sensex on Wednesday improved 87 points to 71,222.62 in the opening session as buying was seen in metal, power, real estate, and technology stocks.
The Sensex registered intraday highs and lows at 71,322.24 and 71,708.46 points respectively.
The Nifty recorded intraday highs and lows at 21,589.80 and 21,448.85 points, respectively.
The Mid Cap moved up 0.52 pc and the Small Cap by 1.08 pc.
In 30 scrips, 22 advanced while 8 declined.
The losers were L&T by 5.43 pc to Rs 3436.05, Titan by 1.01 pc to Rs 3698.20, Kotak Bank by 0.58 pc to Rs 1812, and Infosys by 0.29 pc to Rs 1646.05.
