Mumbai, Nov. 16 -- The BSE Sensex on Wednesday declined 89 points at 61,783.83 in opening trade as selling pressure was seen in FMCG, Financial, Energy and Consumer Discretionary Goods and Services stocks.

The Sensex registered intra day high and low at 61,911.91 and 61,708.63 points respectively.

The Nifty recorded intra day high and low at 18,417.65 and 18,354.70 points respectively.

The Mid Cap fell by 0.06 percent while Small Cap rose by 0.21 percent.

The losers were Tata Steel by 1.61 percent to Rs 106.75; Bajaj Finance by 1.42 percent to Rs 6,923; Bajaj Finserv by 1.09 per cent to Rs 1,686.80 and Asian Paints by 0.90 percent to Rs 3,054.
