Mohali/IBNS, March 13 -- A 39-year-old scientist at Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) on Tuesday died after he was assaulted by his neighbour over an argument related to a parking issue in Sector 66 of Mohali, media reports said.
Abhishek Swarnkar, a native of Jharkhand, was staying at a rented place with his elderly parents in Mohali, had returned to India due to health issues.
He had undergone a kidney transplant and was on dialysis.
In their complaints, Abhishek's parents accused neighbour IT professional Monty of attacking him.
A tenant in the locality claimed Monty panicked when Abhishek fell unconscious and the accused took the ailing man to hospital.
