India, July 23 -- The Supreme Court on Tuesday allowed the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to file 22 cases involving the nexus between the banks and developers to dupe homebuyers in the national capital region.

The cases can name prominent builders in the NCR region. The probe agency has also sought more time to investigate builders of other cities.

The bench gave CBI a time of six weeks, expressing satisfaction over the investigation done by CBI.

They have alleged that the banks are forcing them to pay EMIs even though they have not received possession of flats.
