Kolkata, Feb. 14 -- The oppositions-Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), CPI(M) and Congress-on Tuesday intensified their movement separately on the Sandeshkhali issue in Bengal where the women were allegedly being tortured by some TMC local leaders, even as Calcutta High Court set aside the prohibitory order imposed by the state administration under section 144 Cr PC at the troubled-torn area in North 24 Parganas, official sources said.

BJP's state unit President Sukanta Majumdar began a sit-in-dharna in front of Basirhat's SP office after being prevented from going to Sandeshkhali.
