Dubai, July 4 -- State-run steel producer SAIL has opened its first international office in Dubai as part of its strategy to explore opportunities in emerging markets, according to an official release issued on Friday.

The new Representative Office marks the company's entry into the Middle East and forms a critical part of its broader global expansion plans.

The office was formally inaugurated on Thursday by Union Minister of Steel and Heavy Industries H D Kumaraswamy. The event was attended by India's Consul General to Dubai, Satish Kumar Sivan, SAIL Chairman Amarendu Prakash, and other senior officials from the steel ministry.
