India, June 13 -- Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar met French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris and thanked him for France's strong message of support in the fight against terrorism.

"Honoured to call on President @EmmanuelMacronof France. Conveyed greetings of PM @narendramodi."

Jaishankar said: "Our discussions reflected the trust, comfort and ambition of our Strategic Partnership."

S Jaishankar is currently visiting France, EU and Belgium from June 8-14.

India and France have completed 25 years of strategic partnership.

Before arriving in France, Jaishankar travelled to Belgium.
