India, May 26 -- External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Sunday interacted with his Canadian counterpart Anita Anand over the telephone when they discussed prospects of strengthening the relationship shared between the two countries.

"Appreciate the telecon with FM @AnitaAnandMP of Canada."

"Discussed the prospects of India-Canada ties," he said.

Jaishankar wished the Canadian leader a successful tenure.

Anand later wrote on X and thanked Jaishankar for the productive discussion they shared over the telephone.
