India, July 2 -- Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar met US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on the sidelines of the QUAD foreign minister's meeting in Washignton when they discussed bilateral partnership between the two nations.

"A pleasure meeting US @SecRubio this afternoon, on the sidelines of Quad Foreign Ministers' meeting," S Jaishankar wrote on X.

He further said: "Discussed our bilateral partnership including trade, security, critical technologies, connectivity, energy and mobility."

Jaishankar said they shared regional and global developments.

He also met Australian FM Penny Wong on the sidelines of the QUAD Summit.
